Chaturbate owns the audience: about 60% of all measured simultaneous viewers concentrate there, despite it being only third by model count. An average live Chaturbate room draws ~2,600 viewers, six times the Stripchat average.

Key findings

Stripchat has the most broadcasters (22,359 tracked models — 31% of the industry inventory), but Chaturbate owns the audience: 60% of all measured viewers concentrate there.
An average live Chaturbate room has ~2,600 viewers — six times the Stripchat average and sixteen times CamSoda's.
Gender mix is a platform choice: Cam4 is 40% male, CamSoda has the largest trans share (8%), BongaCams is almost half couples, and three networks are essentially 100% female.

"Which cam site is the biggest?" turns out to be three different questions: who has the most models, who has the most viewers, and who has the audience per room. Our tracker watches 11 networks side by side with the same instrument — here is the honest comparison, with 72,443 active models and a live-audience snapshot of 801,653 simultaneous viewers.

Stripchat and CamSoda together hold more than half the visible inventory. Chaturbate — the household name — is only third by headcount. But headcount is the wrong way to rank cam sites, as the next chart shows.

The inversion is total. CamSoda fields 40% more broadcasters than Chaturbate for 24× fewer measured viewers. Chaturbate's 12,942 models pull 484,468 simultaneous watchers; Stripchat needs almost twice the model count to reach half the audience.

Chaturbate operates stadiums: fewer rooms, each a mass event with thousands of lurkers around a free public show. Stripchat (and even more so CamSoda and the private-first European networks) runs thousands of small rooms designed to funnel viewers into paid one-on-ones. Neither model is "winning" — they monetize attention differently — but if you are a viewer looking for a crowd, or a model looking for exposure, the difference matters enormously. Three findings stand out. Chaturbate is the only true general store — the sole network where no single gender reaches half the catalog. Cam4 is the male stronghold: two in five broadcasters are men, making it the de-facto gay cam platform among the majors. BongaCams is couple country (48%!), while MyFreeCams remains, by charter, a women-only site a decade and a half after launch.

Fame is unevenly banked

Follower counts tell you where long-term fanbases live — though only Chaturbate and Stripchat expose them at scale (12,652 and 22,264 tracked profiles with a public count; the other networks show them on a handful of profiles at most, too few to compare honestly). The two giants have an almost identical median — about 29,000 followers — but Chaturbate's average is 94,000 against Stripchat's 67,000: Chaturbate's free-show format breeds bigger mega-fanbases at the top. Inventory = our stable tracked catalog on July 5, 2026 (72,443 models above each network's visibility threshold; delisted and inactive profiles excluded). Audience snapshot taken July 5, 2026 around 04:00–05:00 UTC — the global supply peak (see our timing study). Viewer counts as reported by each network's feed; networks that do not expose viewer counts are excluded where noted. Gender as self-declared to the platform. Follower averages computed over tracked models reporting a follower count. Snapshots vary by hour and day; treat single-digit percentages as indicative.
